this is a really good book. it teaches you a lot. like all ways follow your dreams cause one day weather its tommorrow or seventy years from now if you really want it you will find a way to get it.
i would recommend this book to anyone cause it teaches you alot.and really is a great book to read. and people that like hunting this would be the book to read.

another day another dollar

okay...well if i had to change something about the book that i am reading it would probabley be the time setting i would want to re-write it and make it more in the time zone that we are in.

Whelp...the point until which i have read up to is where billy and his dogs are hunting after a really big storm hit their part of the country. That night billys mom didnt want Billy to go hunting cause the snow covered all the ice and it was going to be very slippery and she didnt want billy to get hurt.

but when billy went hunting that night he never expected what was going to happen.

when billys dogs got onto the trail of a big river coon

the coon got scared when he heard the dogs coming and he took off running and tried to jump the river well it just so happens that the river was frozen on both ends but was not froze in the middle

My book that I'm reading takes place in the bottom of the mountains in Cherokee Country.
the point to where i read up to in the book Billy and his dogs have been coon hunting all night and his dogs ran a coon up into a tree and Billy made a promise to his dogs. his promise to them was if you get a coon in the tree ill take care of the rest. Well it just so happens that Billy's dogs ,old Dan and little Ann,ran the coon up into the biggest sycamore tree in the bottoms and the whole were the coon went into was so high up there he couldn't climb the tree,so Billy had to cut it down and it took him two and a half days and nights to do it.

well my book that im reading. revolves around this one kid named billy, hes been asking his parents for two years to get some coon hounds. when finally he gets enough money he goes to his grandpa and has him order them finaaly about like 2 weeks later they send a letter back saying they have dogs for sale and can send them to the city that is like 30 miles away from where billy live. his grandpa sends the money and they send the hounds. billys grandpa says that he found someone to ride with so he can go get the hounds billy says that thats a long time for him to wait. so billy takes off that night and goes by foot all the way to the city when he finaly arives billy gets maid fun of by alot of people in the city. he then stopped and looked at the kids playing in the school ground. the boys were climbing up the fire escape and sliding all the way down and would see who landed the farthest. so billy decided that he wanted to give it a shot so when all of the kids left he climbed to the top and slipped and then went slidding down the fire escape on his tummy. after he experients that he finally went to the depot and there he found a guy that new his dad. he said hey ive been waiting for a kid by the name of billy to get some dogs, billy was in shock that he could barley even speak.so the guy said so is your name billy and then he came out of it and said yes thats me. so when he finally got what he was working for for 2 years he decided he better get home. when he was nearly out of town those boys that were in the school yard were out of school for the day and seen billy walking down the street and so they decided they wanted to pick a fight with billy they were asking him question after question and then one of the kids pulled the dogs ear and billy got mad and said that was enough that he could take that day. so he went to fight them and when they were fighting the marshal came and kicked one kid in the butt and got him offthen he picked up billy and said your not from around here are you and then he said where you going and billy said 30 miles that way to my home and he said well do you have time for a soda pop and billy has never had one before so he didnt know what it was so he said sure i do. so he went with the marshal and he said this ones on me so billy got a strawberry soda pop and he was experiencing something that he would never forget in his life after meeting the sheriff he was on his way back for home.
